Bernedoodles

Bernedoodles ! What’s this?

WAren’t the Cooks the foundation breeders of the Airedoodle hybrid?

Yes, we are. But we accidentally fell for an adorable Bernedoodle named Jackie. She came into our clan a couple of years ago and mothered two litters of  pups for us.  Jackie is a 50/50 Bernedoodle hybrid and we bred her to Cisco, an AKC Standard Poodle, to produce f1b Bernedoodles.   We retired Jackie to a friend in the summer of 2020. She is a great dog and is now enjoying life as a pet with her wonderful new owner.

We have brought our new Bernedoodle female, Snicket, into the breeding program.   She is a beautiful tri-colored Bernedoodle and she gave us parti pups, phantom pups, and a tri pup.  Our buyers have been very pleased with their pups from this litter.

SNICKET                         This beautiful girl whelped her second litter on September 2, 2021.  Eleven puppies!

The Bernedoodle is a wonderful hybrid between the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Standard Poodle. This hybrid brings together the calm, steady personality of the guardian dog and the fun-loving, athletic personality of the poodle. It also interweaves the long-lived poodle genes with the short life span common among the giant breeds.

The traditional Bernedoodle (50/50 hybrid like Snicket) is not always hypo-allergenic because of the Bernese Mountain Dog parent. An f1b Bernedoodle is accomplished by breeding a 50/50 hybrid to a purebred Standard Poodle creating a dog that is 75% Standard Poodle and 25% Berne. This greatly improves the hypo-allergenic features of the offspring and increases the puppies longevity.  It is a great hybrid.

Like all of our dogs and pups, the Bernedoodles are carefully overseen by our vet and up to date on all shots and de-wormings.  These pups come with the same two-year guarantee as our Airedoodle pups.
